Title: Service Desk Analyst (entry level)Duration: FTE/PermLocation: NYCSalary: 60-65kA direct client is seeking an Entry-Level Service Desk Analyst to support daily IT operations and provide technical assistance across the organization. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in IT support, systems administration, and infrastructure technologies. The Service Desk Analyst will troubleshoot technical issues, assist with system maintenance, and help ensure reliable technology services for end users.Responsibilities:Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issuesTroubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely mannerSupport Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking environmentsEscalate complex issues when necessary and assist with follow-through to resolutionCommunicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical usersMaintain accurate documentation for incidents, procedures, and system changesCollaborate with IT team members to identify and resolve recurring issuesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancementsQualifications:Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking conceptsTroubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEagerness to learn and grow within an IT support environmentTechnical Skills: Windows OS and Microsoft 365Familiar with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi)Knowledge of ticketing platforms (ServiceNow preferred)Preferred Certifications:CompTIA A+CompTIA Network+Microsoft certificationsEquivalent hands-on or internship experience will also be consideredEducation:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
