Travel RN - Med/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/SNF night shift position requiring at least 2 years of LTC experience and an active ND or compact RN license.Job Details• Long term care (LTC) facility with 26 beds,• Patients present with common diagnoses including heart disease, diabetes, and dementia,• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:10 on days and 1:19 on nights,• No IV therapy or titratable drips performed on this unit,• No telemetry monitoring on this unit,• Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators,• Pharmacy is off-site,• 12-hour night shifts, 7pm-7am,• Every other weekend required,• Every other major holiday required,• MatrixCare (Matrix) EMR used in this position,• No call or standby requirements,• No floating requirements,Job Requirements• Active ND or compact RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted,• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted,• Minimum 2 years of LTC experience required,• Must not currently be employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,• Driver's license required for consideration,• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,Additional Information• RN serves as charge nurse, responsible for medication pass and wound care,• No rehabilitation beds on unit - LTC only,• Physician availability after hours is by phone (on-call),• Support staff includes a DON; no on-site supervisors after hours,• Ancillary support includes PT as needed and a social worker designee,• Unit-specific orientation is 2-3 shifts (12 hours total orientation),• No set scrub color requirement; clean and presentable attire is expected,
