International Sales Manager - Specialty Chemicals (ECH)
Role OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced international sales professional to drive the global expansion of our Epichlorohydrin (ECH) business. This role focuses on developing overseas markets, managing key client relationships, and executing end-to-end trade operations in the chemical sector.Key ResponsibilitiesInternational Business DevelopmentExpand overseas markets for ECH across Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, and the AmericasIdentify and develop new customers through exhibitions, LinkedIn, customs data, and B2B platformsDevelop and execute sales strategies to achieve volume and profitability targetsClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain overseas client portfolios through regular engagement (email, calls, site visits)Handle customer inquiries related to product specifications (e.g. purity, color, moisture content)Conduct customer due diligence (KYC) to assess creditworthiness and reliabilityResolve customer issues in collaboration with internal teams to strengthen long-term relationshipsContracting & Trade ExecutionNegotiate international sales contracts, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and penaltiesCoordinate with operations teams (based in Indonesia) on export documentation (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, DG certificates, COO, etc.)Manage the full order lifecycle: production planning, inspection, shipping, customs clearance, and deliveryTrack order execution and ensure timely payment collectionMarket Intelligence & AnalysisMonitor global ECH pricing trends, upstream raw material movements, and downstream demandPrepare regular market reports to support pricing and inventory decisionsTrack international trade policies, including anti-dumping measures and environmental regulations (e.g. EU REACH)Risk & ComplianceEnsure compliance with hazardous materials transport regulations (IMDG Code)Ensure adherence to international trade compliance and Indonesian export regulationsManage foreign exchange risks and provide hedging recommendationsQualificationsEducationDiploma or above in International Trade, Business, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or related fieldsExperienceMinimum 3 years of international sales experience in chemical productsProven experience in ECH or related products (e.g. epoxy resins, glycerin, liquid caustic soda)Track record in developing overseas end-user clients is highly preferredTechnical SkillsFamiliar with end-to-end export processes for hazardous chemicals (booking, DG certification, customs declaration, IMDG labeling)Strong knowledge of international trade terms and L/C documentationFluent in English (written and spoken), with the ability to negotiate contracts independentlyCore CompetenciesStrong business development and market awarenessResilient, results-driven, and able to work under pressureExcellent negotiation and cost management skillsDetail-oriented with strong risk awareness in documentation and trade executionPreferred QualificationsExisting network of overseas ECH buyersUnderstanding of cost differences between glycerol-based and propylene-based ECH productionKnowledge of global tariffs and anti-dumping impacts on competitivenessJ-18808-Ljbffr
