Full-Time X-ray Technologist
Requirements:Texas Medical Board and ARRT.Job Purpose:Performs and assists with high quality diagnostic CT procedures, focusing on patient care and education. This position is from 8am - 5pm (or 4pm if needed), Monday - Friday.Duties:Provide high quality diagnostic X-ray imagingIdentifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirementsEnsures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniquesComplies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actionsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesGains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questionsPrepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factorsMinimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factorsProtects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cartMaintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustmentsDocuments patient care services by charting in patient and department recordsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededSkills and Qualifications:Use of Medical TechnologiesPerforming Diagnostic ProceduresInforming OthersQuality FocusPlanningTechnical UnderstandingPeople SkillsDependabilityCreating a Safe, Effective EnvironmentRadiologic TechnologyAnalyzing InformationJob Type: Full TimeSalary: Dependent on experienceEquipment: Philips IngenuityRequired Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Imaging Sciences programRequired Certifications: ARRT and Texas Medical BoardLocation: Willow Park, TXHours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pmBenefits: 80 hours of accrued PTO, health insurance, scrubs providedPowered by JazzHR3bixSSqprl
