This contract opportunity calls for two dedicated School Registered Nurses (RN) to contribute to a robust school health program in a district placement (specific site to be determined) near Fruitland, NM. You'll work collaboratively onsite with staff, students, families, and the broader community to create a safe and healthy learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Deliver nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating student health needs in accordance with state regulations.Uphold school health policies and procedures while managing confidential or sensitive information with the utmost discretion.Monitor students for social, physical, and psychological factors that may impact learning, and advocate for their health rights.Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating school health programs.Serve as a key communicator among students, families, faculty, medical providers, and community partners regarding health concerns.Address a variety of student health issues with professionalism and resourcefulness.Desired Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Nursing.Active Registered Nurse license from the New Mexico Board of Nursing.Current Professional School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico.Experience in school nursing or a similar environment preferred.Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.This is an onsite role with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the school year, running from August 6, 2026, to May 27, 2027.Make an impact where it matters most—supporting students on their journey to health and academic success.
