We are looking for a Controller to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting leader to oversee the full accounting function and play a key role in financial decision-making, in a hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH.ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end closeEnsure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage the annual audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditorsDevelop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls across the accounting functionOversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury-related activitiesPartner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningManage and develop a team of accounting professionalsEnsure compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirementsEvaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting toolsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processesExperience managing and developing accounting teamsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teamsWhat Our Client OffersCompetitive salary with annual performance-based bonusHybrid work schedule based in Cleveland, OHHigh level of visibility with company leadershipGenerous paid time off and company-observed holidaysSupportive, team-oriented culture with room for advancement
