Apprentice Crane Operator

Job Description Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Apprentice Crane Operator to join our team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with no prior crane operating experience / or very minimal operating experience who are eager to learn the trade and build a career in the construction and crane industry.The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a certified Crane Operator and will receive hands-on training in crane operations, rigging practices, equipment inspections, and job site safety.Key Responsibilities:Assist certified Crane Operators with daily job site operationsLearn proper crane setup, operation procedures, and shutdown processesSupport pre-operational inspections and routine equipment maintenanceAssist with rigging, signaling, and load preparationFollow all OSHA and company safety standardsMaintain clear communication with ground crew and supervisorsKeep work areas clean and organizedParticipate in required safety meetings and training sessionsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferredStrong willingness to learn and follow instructionsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPhysically capable of lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periodsReliable transportationStrong work ethic and punctualityAbility to pass a drug screening and background check (if required)Preferred (but not required):Construction site experienceBasic mechanical knowledgeInterest in obtaining NCCCO certification (company may assist with training)Career Path:This apprenticeship position offers a structured pathway toward becoming a certified Crane Operator, with opportunities for skill advancement and increased responsibility based on performance and training progress.
