Inbound Operations Manager

Abacus Solutions Group is currently recruiting for an Inbound Operations Manager for a brand new warehouse opening in Southaven.Job Summary: The Inbound Operations Manager (AM and PM SHIFT) provides leadership and oversight to a high-performing inbound department, ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, inspection and put-away of product. This role is responsible to managing inbound workflows, dock scheduling, vendor compliance, and inventory integrity. The operations manager drives continuous improvement, supports lean practices, and ensures alignment with safety, quality, and service level standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Lead and direct the Inbound Operations team to achieve key goals in receiving, put-away, inventory accuracy, vendor compliance, and dock utilizationPartner with the Senior Manager to influence strategic planning and executionCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresEnsure facility compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations.Promote a strong safety culture across all inbound operationsDrive performance to meet daily, monthly, and annual productivity and quality targetsManage inbound operations to be cost-effective and scalable, while fostering a culture of continuous improvementHire, train, and develop supervisors and leads; oversee performance management, coaching, and corrective actionsSupport the development and growth of direct reportsMaintain full accountability for inbound operations across all shifts, including weekends if applicableLead performance management and development programs for the inbound teamOversee quality control processes for inbound shipments, including damage checks and vendor compliance auditsPromote lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives across inbound workflowsEnsure all SOPs and training programs are current and effectively implementedFoster a culture of accountability, engagement, and associate empowermentManage seasonal labor needs in partnership with staffing agencies and advise leadership on headcount planningPerform other duties as assigned by the Senior ManagerQualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferred / HS Degree or GED requiredExperience working with process improvement ideologies, e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar / Six Sigma certification a plusMinimum of 4 years of progressive operations experience in a leadership roleExperience leading up to 100+ associatesExperience in creating productivity improvement through continuous improvement effortsAbility to be flexible, collaborative, and drive performanceAnalyze data to identify defects and root cause analysisStrong verbal and written communication skills
