Certified Nursing Assistant | PRNWesley Woods of Newnan - Newnan, GA 30265OverviewSalary Range $15.00 - $17.00 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Rotating Day & Evening Education Level CNA Certification Travel Percentage None Category Health CareDescriptionPosition SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, Resident Services Manager or designee, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to residents in a retirement community including activities of daily living. May be assigned to Personal Care and/or Skilled Care units.Key ResponsibilitiesSupports Assists residents with activities of daily living.Assists Aids with light housekeeping and laundry.Prepares Prepares and delivers meals to residents; may assist dining room staff with serving meals.Engages Provides emotional support and assistance to families.Promotes Encourages resident participation in appropriate activities under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director. Assists with the delivery of activities.Maintains Upholds current knowledge and understanding of proper procedures for tasks related specifically to resident care.Specializes - If assigned to Skilled Care will provide specialized services:Assists with elimination using urinals, bedpans, bowel and/or bladder programs.Uses Hoyer lift and applies restraints for assigned residents.Collects specimens and performs other clinical duties as assigned.Provides Provides administrative support as appropriate in such areas as answering phones, record keeping, participating in care planning for residents and giving/taking reports for each shift.Performs Additional responsibilities assigned as required.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Certification by the State of Georgia as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).The ability to read, write and follow written/oral instructions in English.Experience in a retirement community preferred.Current CPR and/or First Aid will be required.Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, stoop, and twist.
