Semiconductor Equipment Service Engineer

12 months contract role onsite in Fremont, CA. Swing Shift, Sun-Thu 2:00pm-11:00pm PSTWe are hiring a Laboratory Service Engineer for an exciting opportunity supporting advanced semiconductor lab and prototype equipment in a highly technical R&D environment.In this role, you will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, calibration, and installation support for applications lab equipment. You will work closely with Process Development, Hardware Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to support R&D activities, prototype systems, and customer demos. This position may also involve occasional travel to customer sites to resolve tool or system issues and provide hands-on technical support.What we are looking for:Experience troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, fluidic, and vacuum systemsHands-on experience with helium leak checkingStrong experience using DVMs, calibrated tools, and torque wrenchesAbility to work in a cleanroom environment and use required PPEStrong teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to follow proceduresSemiconductor industry experience or familiarity with Lam tools is a plusPreferred background:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of experience, orAssociate degree in a technical field / equivalent military training with 4+ years of relevant experienceOur Client is a Fortune 350 company that engages in the design, manufacturing, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment.
