Quality Assurance Consultant

Client is looking for Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.Responsibilities:Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirementsContribute to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteriaAutomate the test cases in User-Interface(UI) and database using tools like Selenium/ToscaBuild and use test data required to accomplish execution of test casesExecute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test resultsTest new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failuresWork collaboratively with the development team for defect triagingExecute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)Design, develop, execute automation scriptsOwn end-to-end testingDetect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutionsApply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentationEnsure that all the standards and processes are implemented within a projectWork on Autosys scheduling of jobsWork collaboratively with the development team for defect triagingDevelop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirementsRequirements:Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) and a minimum of 6 years of experience5 years of experience in Software TestingExperience of Automaton testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database.Expertise in testing User-Interface(UI) and Database changesAble to write Unix commands and execute themProven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologiesStrong experience in writing complex SQL queries using JoinsExperience with UnixExperience with HaddopAble to document and troubleshoot errorsWorking knowledge of test management software (Ex: qTest, Octane)Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)Hands-on agile experienceExcellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skillsAble to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basisAble to be self-directed to complete assigned activitiesAble to work with big teamsStrong problem identification and solving skillsStrong communication skillsExcel in a fast paced, dynamic environmentPrior experience of working with globally distributed teamsExperience in Banking domain
