Their model emphasizes long-term asset ownership, flexible financing, and customer-centric development across multiple property types.The RoleWe’re seeking a Development Manager / Senior Development Manager to support the advancement of community solar and distributed generation projects across key markets. This role is ideal for someone with strong project development experience and a track record of moving projects through critical development milestones.The ideal candidate will bring experience across community solar, ground mount, and distributed generation development, with added interest in candidates who know Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets.What You’ll Be DoingSupport the development of distributed generation projects, with a focus on community solar and ground mount solarManage projects through key development milestones including siting, permitting, interconnection, stakeholder coordination, and pre-construction handoffServe as a lead point of contact on active projects and help drive timelines, issue resolution, and overall project executionPartner cross-functionally with internal teams including real estate, interconnection, finance, engineering, and constructionIdentify project risks early and proactively support solutionsSupport budgeting, scheduling, and portfolio tracking across active projectsMaintain strong working relationships with local jurisdictions, utilities, consultants, landowners, and external partnersContribute to process improvements and support team growth as the platform scalesQualifications5+ years of experience in renewable energy developmentStrong background in community solar developmentExperience with ground mount and distributed generation solar projectsProven ability to manage projects across multiple stages of developmentStrong understanding of permitting, interconnection, land use, and stakeholder managementStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentPreferred BackgroundExperience in Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets strongly preferredMarkets such as Maryland, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or surrounding regions are especially relevantExperience with acquired, mid-stage, or later-stage development pipelines is a plusPrior experience in a developer, IPP, or distributed generation platform environment preferred
