Multi Platform Database Administrator - DB2/UDB

DB2 Database AdministratorDuration: 6 + months with possible extension/ ConversionLocation: 3 days onsite McLean, VA / Dallas, TXResponsibilities:Database Administrator SeniorOracle,DB2 database design, including architecture, installation procedures, build and configuration standards.Design and Setup High Availability Database Replication and InfrastructureDatabase Administration and troubleshooting of database issues, including production performance and outage scenarios.Develop database patch/version upgrade roadmap, scalable deployment automation.Database maintenance automation using Ansible, SHELL, python.Execute Database Upgrades, resolve upgrade related issues.Provide on-call support on rotation as per schedules.Basic Requirements:More than 5+ years of experience in Oracle/DB2 Database administrationIn Depth understanding of Oracle/DB2 Database technology, standard patterns, and best practices.Extensive Oracle/DB2 Database performance tuning experienceDeep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environmentGood understanding of Linux platformDeep understanding of HA, DR Database, and storage technologies as they relate to oracle/DB2.Experience implementing, supporting, and auditing database security in Oracle/DB2Experience with Unix/Linux OS platform and Unix Shell/Perl scripting and automationPreferred Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in virtual environment using VMware.
