Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Silver Spring, MD Agency: Jackson Therapy Partners Pay: $1,259 to $1,459 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Silver Spring, MD. You will work with outpatients recovering from injury or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. A recruiter will follow up with assignment details. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited educational program. Active Maryland PTA license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred. Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting required. Familiarity with common outpatient therapeutic modalities and assistive device training such as therapeutic exercise, balance and gait training, hot/cold modalities, ultrasound, and TENS preferred. Ability to implement treatment plans and document patient progress according to clinic policies. Demonstrated adherence to patient and employee safety practices, including safe patient handling and infection control procedures. Client requires candidates who can work within established clinic protocols and collaborate in interdisciplinary team conferences. Assignment Details Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
