Breakfast & Dinner Cook (4 days per week, Friday-Monday)

DescriptionThe Restaurant Cook is responsible for carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and as ordered by the server. The Restaurant Cook will help to maintain a safe a welcoming kitchen environment through performing general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas. Ensure food safety by dating and rotating food containers, safely storing perishables, and maintaining a sanitary work environment.Job ResponsibilitiesHave a thorough knowledge of the menu.Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.Prepare and cook foods of all types.Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.Perform opening and closing procedures.Perform any other duties as requested by management.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in food preparation and handlingEnglish fluency requiredCertification of previous training in food service a PLUSMust be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidaysWilling and able to stand/walk for entire shiftPossess basic reading, writing and math skills
