CMC is searching for a Staff Engineer to support our Tensar Division. The Staff Engineer role will be responsible for performing engineering functions relating to mechanically-stabilized earth wall and slope applications in accordance with Tensar policies, standards of engineering practice, and project specific requirements.What You'll DoProvides engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other required technical documentationReview project geotechnical and structural information and perform project evaluations to examine technical and commercial feasibilityProduce required project construction drawing using AutoCADApply technical and functional knowledge to design world-class solutions that effectively integrates with the business units' operationsDesign and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projectsParticipate in various developmental trainings and business projectsWhat You'll NeedPossess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditionsStrong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project requiredAbility to interpret data presented on design documentsProficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointPrevious internship experiences preferredEffective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with project managers, and team membersYour EducationBachelors in Civil Engineering RequiredMaster's degree preferredCertificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) PreferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
