Company Description Job Corps is the nation’s largest residential career training program, dedicated to helping young people aged 16 to 24 complete their education, develop professional skills, and secure meaningful employment. Participants gain access to room and board while training for up to three years in specialized career fields. Beyond technical skills and education, Job Corps offers transitional support, including assistance in securing employment, housing, childcare, and transportation. Graduates go on to careers, apprenticeships, higher education, or military service. Role Description This is a full-time on-site position for a CompTIA Instructor, based in Devens, MA. The instructor will be responsible for delivering curriculum in IT subjects, preparing students for CompTIA certifications, and providing one-on-one and group instruction. Additional responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing student progress through evaluations, and maintaining records in compliance with program standards. The instructor will guide students in career readiness and provide mentorship to ensure their success in completing the program and beginning their professional journeys. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of CompTIA certifications, including IT Fundamentals (ITF+), A+, Network+, and Security+Teaching and curriculum development experience, with the ability to create engaging lesson plans and deliver IT training effectivelyStrong communication, mentoring, and student engagement skillsExperience with assessing and tracking student progress, including record-keeping and evaluationsProficiency in computer and technical systems, with familiarity in troubleshooting and basic technical supportCompTIA certification is required; additional certifications, such as Cisco and Microsoft, are an advantagePrevious experience with youth development or training programs is a plusBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferredCommitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds
