Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the project's software suite of applications and possibly future capabilities as mission needs arise. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityNine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux toolsExperience developing scripts using BashRecent Python (3.x) software development experienceExperience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn RustExperience with NoSQL databases including MongoDBExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containersExperience with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on KubernetesFamiliar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQFamiliar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CIFamiliar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as AnsibleExperience with Git Source Control SystemDesired Skills:Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQLExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and ConfluenceThis position is open for direct hires only.
