The successful candidate will participate in the design and execution of high-quality, lab-based studies supporting the discovery and development of new cancer therapeutics. As part of a multidisciplinary research team in a fast-paced discovery environment, applicants should have extensive laboratory research experience and a desire to continue in a laboratory-focused role with a high level of experimental vigor and quality. Because the individual will interact with diverse groups of experts within and outside of his/her scientific discipline, strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.Key Responsibilities:Routinely demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research or development activities.Highly autonomous and productive in performing laboratory research or method development, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor.Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.May initiate new areas of investigation that are scientifically meaningful, reliable, and can be incorporated directly into a research or development program.A primary author of publications, presentations, regulatory documents and/or primary inventor of patents.Demonstrates high proficiency across a wide range of relevant technologies.Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab.Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials.Direct mentorship of others.Maintain ability to work in a team-oriented manner to optimize achievement of prioritized objectives.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent education and typically 10 years of experience, Master's Degree or equivalent education and typically 8 years of experience, PhD and no experience necessary.Degree in Cancer Biology, Immuno-oncology, Immunology, Cell/Molecular Biology, or related fieldDemonstrated expertise in functional characterization of immune cells, with a focus on T cell biology preferredExperience with bioinformatic systems and analysisRecord of scientific achievement (i.e. strong publication and/or patent record) and proficiency in standard biochemical, cellular and molecular techniquesAbility to thrive in a collaborative, matrix-based team environment and strong written and oral communication skills are essentialPreferred Qualifications:Strong background in cancer biology and immunology, with a focus on immune cell redirection platformsImpactful research experience demonstrated by high-quality publications, patents and/or presentations at national/international conferencesPrevious research experience in either an academic or industrial settingAdditional InformationApplicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law:* The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
