Sales Manager – Tech Repair & IT Services
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for bringing in new repair jobs, IT contracts, and software-related projects. This role combines inside sales, outside sales, partnerships, and local business development.
You will work closely with store technicians and service teams to convert leads into revenue and grow recurring business.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Generate new business for:
Smartphone, tablet, laptop & smartwatch repairs
Managed IT services
Cybersecurity & endpoint protection
Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS)
Software installation, support & optimization
Actively prospect local businesses, schools, healthcare clinics, retail stores, real estate firms, and SMBs
Build partnerships with property managers, offices, realtors, and local organizations
Visit businesses in person to present Techy & NerdsToGo services
Store & Repair Sales Growth
Drive walk-in and repeat repair traffic
Upsell services such as:
Protection plans
Data backup & recovery
Software support
Device optimization
Work with technicians to ensure smooth handoff from sales to service
Lead Management & Closing
Follow up on inbound leads (calls, website, ads, referrals)
Prepare quotes and service proposals
Close deals and negotiate service agreements
Track pipeline and sales performance
Marketing & Outreach Support
Support local marketing efforts (events, flyers, networking groups)
Help promote services through social media and community engagement
Represent the brand professionally at events and meetings
Requirements
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
Background in IT services, tech repair, MSP, or software sales preferred
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable with field sales and in-store sales
Self-motivated, target-driven, and relationship-focused
Basic understanding of:
Device repairs
IT services & software solutions (training provided)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)
Experience selling Managed IT Services (MSP)
Experience with B2B sales or local SMB outreach
Familiarity with CRM tools
Existing local business network in Greensboro / High Point area
