TechPride has an opening for an Assistant Project Manager with 1-2 years of project and organizational experience. This position will be working with US Coast Guard clients to support multiple internal and external projects ranging from process improvements to implementing larger initiatives.This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working closely with a team and being trusted to independently own and produce deliverables. A large part of the work involves supporting initiatives to completion and requires someone who can take initiative, follow through on tasks and is comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesSupport execution of project plans and corresponding action plans.Drafting key messages and content for project deliverables.Create internal and external client communications deliverables including but not limited to talking points, blogs, fact sheets, briefings and briefing books, online content, internal announcements, brochures, white papers, presentations, and overview documents used at various external client events.Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the client.Understand the client’s priorities and provide creative ideas and strategic thought to support their mission.Coordinate scheduling, agendas, materials, participant lists and action items for multiple working groups and councils.Support client meetings. Own all aspects of meeting coordination, keep meetings on time and on agenda and follow up on action items.Support and maintain program organizational charts and stakeholder outreach matrices.RequirementsBachelor's degree in business or a related field.Experience in meeting management or events.Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders both orally and in email.Experience working with a client and prioritizing demands.Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings.Proven ability to support and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven process.Experience in building and managing client and team relationships.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams desirable.Strong, substantive writing experience and ability to provide a portfolio of products developed in prior positions (based on level of experience).Ability to obtain Public TrustTransferable SkillsProblem solving and critical thinkingThinking ‘two steps ahead’ and being prepared for what the client will need nextTaking initiative vs. waiting to be told what to doManaging multiple tasks and prioritizing according to importanceFlexibility to pivot and adapt to changes in direction of new thingsConsidering the details and ensuring accuracy in the small thingsBuilding rapport with colleagues and clients.
