Process Engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer Location: Frazeysburg, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Job Summary: Ridge Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to help us develop, build, and commission new equipment, while supporting our existing equipment. Primary responsibilities include the ability to create, develop, manufacture, and/or refine fiber reinforced thermoplastic and thermoset products that will meet the needs of current customers while expanding our reach into diverse markets and new client bases. Employees work in a fast paced, hands-on environment and will perform process related work which will include: process design, machine design, machine installation, equipment trouble shooting, prototyping, and testing. Other related duties would include: vendor communication, generating requests for proposals, managing contractors, soliciting quotes, travel to vendor sites, and continuous improvement projects. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following: New process development which includes automation design, 3D modeling, electrical controls development and equipment installation. Upgrading existing equipment for improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. Supporting the manufacturing team by troubleshooting issues with equipment and helping make improvements whenever necessary. Support the development of new products and customers through R&D. Beneficial Skills: Electrical experience (Controls and AC power related). Mechanical design experience. Manufacturing engineering experience. Lean Manufacturing experience. ISO, IATF or other Quality System experience. Familiarity of OSHA Standards. Experience with manufacturing of composites and manufacturing of thermoplastics. Minimum Qualifications: BSME (Mechanical) or BSEE (Electrical) CAD – solid model experience, preferably using SolidWorks Willingness to manage multiple projects. Excellent time management skills with an ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated, innovative, creative, and resourceful. Workplace Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. Ergonomic Requirements: Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time Ability to Push, Pull, Lift, and/or Carry up to 25 lbs.
