Welder Helper
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Helper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various metal types, including sheet metal and ductwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components accurately.
Conduct assembly of metal structures while ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling during fabrication processes.
Measure components using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precise dimensions.
Execute pipe threading and rigging tasks as required for project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in welding and fitting within a construction or manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and soldering techniques.
Familiarity with mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and assembly procedures.
Ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and perform machining tasks.
Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding operations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
