Assembly Seibi Technician / Engineering Technician Location Georgetown, KY 1486285 Position Summary Final Assembly Production Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Assembly Seibi Technician/Engineering Technician to support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and continuous improvement activities within Final Assembly operations. This role is responsible for providing technical support throughout the equipment lifecycle, including design review, vendor buyoffs, installation oversight, startup support, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities. The successful candidate will help ensure equipment meets Toyota's standards for safety, quality, productivity, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Review equipment designs, drawings, and specifications and identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct vendor equipment buyoffs to verify safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met prior to shipment. Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and production launch activities. Troubleshoot and modify equipment to improve performance and resolve production issues. Perform equipment trials and implement adjustments to optimize quality and productivity. Verify equipment performance using secondary validation methods such as torque checks, vacuum profiles, and other quality confirmation techniques. Install, program, troubleshoot, and support PLC-based control systems. Support and facilitate equipment installation activities while coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders. Provide technical training to Maintenance and Production team members on newly implemented equipment. Serve as a subject matter expert for equipment controls, troubleshooting, and startup activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cost, improving quality, and shortening project timelines. Travel to supplier and manufacturing locations throughout North America and internationally as required. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or related technical discipline; or equivalent hands-on experience. Minimum 2 years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLC systems including one or more of the following: Toyopuc Allen-Bradley Siemens Omron Mitsubishi Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel. Ability to work up to 30% overtime as business needs require. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and industrial maintenance equipment. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Automotive manufacturing experience. Experience with industrial robot programming and robot teaching. Experience with AGV/AMR setup, programming, and troubleshooting. Experience programming and configuring safety scanners and safety systems. Knowledge of industrial communication networks including: Ethernet/IP FLNet Profinet Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and launch activities within a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, confined, or industrial environments. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and extended work shifts as required.
