Housekeeping Supervisor - Hampton Inn Brentwood/Nashville

Job DescriptionThis position will be require supervising, training and inspecting the performance of assigned Housekeeping staff ensuring that all procedures are completed to the established standards. This person will assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise staff in the performance of all daily procedures to ensure they are completed to standardMaintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standardsPrepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review prioritiesInspect guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer area, vending area, service area including linen closet, staff restroom and storage areaInspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, offices and service areas after being cleaned by respective personnel, using designated checklistsAssist staff with their job functions where needed to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for guestsKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, and use of equipmentComputer mathematical calculationsAbility to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel dataAbility to ascertain departmental training needs and provide such trainingAbility to direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when neededAbility to input and access information in the property management system/computersAll other duties as assigned by managerJob RequirementsPrior housekeeping experience, must be able to communicate in SpanishExcellent customer service skillsMove, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistanceStand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion.Weekend shifts are required.
