SMT Machine Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate SMT machinery to assemble electronic components onto PCBs. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to inspect and verify component placement and solder quality. Follow IPC 610 standards for quality assurance in assembly processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to fabricate prototypes and improve assembly processes. Maintain accurate records of production runs, including any defects or issues encountered during assembly. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications Experience with PCB assembly and operation of SMT machinery is preferred. Familiarity with logic controllers and machining processes is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters. Knowledge of electrical components and their functions within circuit boards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
