Our team is known for delivering high-quality work, maintaining strong client relationships, and fostering a collaborative, solutions-driven culture with deep local market expertise.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead project planning efforts from concept through contract across the Middle Tennessee region. This role is critical in shaping project success by providing accurate cost estimates, managing preconstruction processes, and leveraging strong relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all preconstruction and estimating activities for projects within Middle TennesseePrepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, conceptual pricing and proposals based on local market conditionsAnalyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and contract documents to ensure completeness and accuracySolicit and evaluate bids from local subcontractors and suppliersDevelop scopes of work and manage bid packages tailored to trade partnersCollaborate with project managers, superintendents, and executives during project planningCollaborate with design teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather competitive bids and negotiate favorable terms.Participate in client meetings and provide value engineering solutions aligned with costs and availabilityTrack Middle Tennessee market trends, labor conditions, and material pricingMaintain and strengthen relationships with local subcontractors and vendorsMaintain and improve estimating systems, databases, and historical cost data specific to the regionEncourage trade and supplier bid participationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)5-10+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction within commercial constructionStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systemsDemonstrated experience working in the Middle Tennessee construction marketEstablished relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers strongly preferredProficiency in Excel, Word, and estimating software (e.g. PlanHub or similar)Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonusesCompetitive benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysLocal projects with minimal travel requiredCollaborative team environmentPay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingFuel reimbursementHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offExperienceConstruction estimating: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
