Strategic Initiatives Lead

About the platformEti Ventures operates as part of a broader, long-term platform built across multiple sectors — including real assets, operating businesses, and investment. Some of that structure is intentionally quiet, not to obscure it, but to allow it to be built with focus and discipline. At Eti, visibility is not the objective.Substance is.Role ContextWe are currently engaged in a set of initiatives within a leading research-driven academic environment. This role is based in Boston and will act as the direct interface within that environment — ensuring alignment, continuity, and clarity across ongoing work. This is not a research role. It is not a traditional corporate role either. You will be expected to operate within an advanced academic setting, while representing a multi-sector structure with strong judgment and discretion.Role DescriptionThis role sits at the intersection of representation, problem solving, and strategic coordination. You will be responsible for understanding what is being developed, how it evolves, and where it connects to broader objectives. You will observe, engage, and contribute — not by directing from the outside, but by being present, attentive, and precise within the environment. The role requires the ability to translate complexity into clarity, and to maintain alignment between different contexts without oversimplifying them. What you will be responsible forYou will act as the primary point of presence in Boston, representing the organization within an ongoing collaboration environment. This includes maintaining close awareness of active initiatives, tracking their development, and ensuring that relevant insights are captured and communicated effectively. You will engage with different stakeholders, contribute to discussions when appropriate, and support the continuity of ongoing work. You will also help ensure that the work taking place remains connected to a broader structure — without disrupting its natural flow. The role requires both attentiveness and restraint: knowing when to engage, and when to simply understand. What we are looking forWe are looking for someone with exceptional problem-solving ability and strong intellectual discipline. You should be able to understand complex ideas quickly, break them down, and form clear, structured thinking — often in environments where information is incomplete or evolving.A top-tier academic background is expected, particularly in fields that require analytical thinking. You should be comfortable operating within a high-level academic environment, while maintaining a strong sense of practical judgment.More important than specific experience is how you think: your ability to question, synthesize, and navigate ambiguity with clarity. This role requires maturity, discretion, and a high level of trust. You should be able to represent the organization with confidence, communicate effectively across different contexts, and remain consistent in both thought and behavior.ClosingThis is a high-trust, high-expectation role.It is not defined by tasks, but by how you think, observe, and act.
