In this role, you'll do more than serve food—you'll help create structure, comfort, and care through every meal.Position SummaryThe Food Service Worker prepares and serves nutritious meals for children in Camber's care. The setting is similar to a small school lunchroom serving youth with behavioral health needs, where consistency, safety, and compassion are key.What You'll DoUnder the supervision of the operations team and in collaboration with a dietician, you will:Prepare recommended meals for children and adolescentsArrange food and beverages on steam tables, trays, or mobile cartsEnsure meals are presented in a timely and organized mannerMaintain proper food handling, preparation, and storage standardsMonitor and ensure correct refrigeration temperaturesClean utensils, cooking equipment, and storage areasSanitize serving areas daily to maintain a safe environmentSet up and break down tables based on patient census or special eventsModel professionalism and courteous behavior with youth and colleaguesPromote a respectful, inclusive environment for all individualsWhat You'll BringMust be at least 20 years of ageCompletion of at least 10th grade required; high school diploma or GED preferredValid driver's license and proof of auto insurance1–3 months of food service experience or training (including food prep and storage)Comfort using Windows-based systems and emailPreferred QualificationsExperience providing food service to children in a school or residential treatment settingKnowledge of food preparation, handling, and storage best practicesWhy Join Camber?At Camber, every role contributes to something bigger.
