Business Planning & Analysis Manager

Summary The Novartis Corporate Finance team is seeking (2) new Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) Managers who supports the BPA Director of Capabilities in enabling Functions to execute strategy. You will meet financial commitments through proactive resource allocation, risk and opportunity management, cost-efficiency and trade-off analysis. About the Role Key Responsibilities Performance Management - interacting with Functional and Product Finance teams to collaboratively plan for +$1.0bn in resources, support the Director BPA in managing performance and delivering annual financial targets. Resource Allocation excellence- Monitor spend categories and drive proactive analyses to optimize investments. Co-pilot planning cycles together with remote teams and consolidate cross functionally for specific cost categories. Risk & Opportunity Management - safeguard and improve overall financial performance through proactive and transparent communication of risks and opportunities. Drive process standardization and pioneer development of new tools for insight generation - simplify and automate processes and develop new tools to elevate insight generation to the business. Stakeholder management on cross functional topics. Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred 3+ years finance experience, preferably in Pharmaceuticals; FP&A experience preferred. High learning agility, strong analytical skills and attention to details. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Comfortable collaborating in a matrix organization. Excel/PowerPoint intermediate to advanced - Experience with planning tools desired. Relocation not included Benefits & Rewards The salary for this position is expected to range between $ 98,700 and $183,300 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
