Job Description
SummaryPerforms radiographic procedures at a
technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical
positioning and physiology, a high degree of technical competency
and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with a
minimum of supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic
diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Other duties as
deemed necessary.Graduated from an accredited school of
radiologic technology. Must be registered with the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality
Standards Association (SCRQSA)Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart
Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized
equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional
Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.Registered

DescriptionTechnologist
utilizes RIS and PACs systems to complete clerical and
administrative functionsMaintains
continuing education through regular in-service education,
participates in staff meetings, completes annual departmental
competencies, and establishes appropriate work assignments to
assure optimum utilization of human and material
resources.Performs high quality
diagnostic radiology examinations for the physician’s
interpretation; prepares and administers various contrast agents
under supervision of a
physician.Practices sterile technique
when applicable and universal precautions during procedures/
exams.Monitors any staff and/or student
activities during clinical assignments in the technologist’s
perspective
area.Additional Job
DescriptionEducation: Graduation from
an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: At least
two years of modality specific work experience required.
Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure from the
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification
from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare
Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red
Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Skill Set:
Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to
