Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - Pistol Weekend Nights- Federal Ammunition

Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Mechanics, you will have the opportunity to maintain manufacturing operations through the performance of machine maintenance and troubleshooting in Pistol and other areas as needed. Perform basic machine shop and metal working processes such as operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, polish dies and sharpen knives. Other work as directed.Shift Q: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Thursday 7:00pm-7:00amExperience You BringNo disciplinary action at Report of Conference level or above in past 12 monthsCurrent Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanics will have priority over other applicantsDemonstrated ability to effectively troubleshootDemonstrated above average craft or mechanical ability (carpentry, millwright, tinsmith, plumber)Training and experience in a machine shop or knowledge of metal working machining and processesAbility to operate surface grinder, polish dies and sharpen knivesDemonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skillsPositive customer service attitudeDemonstrated leadership/organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a minimum of supervisionAbility to weld, braze, and solder all types of metals (steel, aluminum, etc…) with proficiency.Ability to rivetExperience grinding, filing, and threading metalBasic welding skillsYou Might HaveElectronic experience or educationKnowledge of/experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, weldingTinsmith experiencePersonal computer skillsWhat You’ll DoWorks independently with minimum supervision (self starter).Does basic machine shop work - drilling, tapping, sawing, grinding. Able to sketch simple parts and read basic blue prints.Demonstrates above average mechanical ability, including troubleshooting skill and ability to identify source of process related problems. Ability to get along and train other people that have a variety of skill levels. Capable of doing all setups and changeovers on production equipment in the assigned area.Able to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, caliper, and dial indicators.Demonstrates leadership qualities in the areas of safety, personal discipline, and attitude.Other work as directed. Work EnvironmentEmployee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
