A Life Skills Coach (Day Habilitation Specialist) helps people become more independent and aspire higher in their hopes & dreams. We are currently seeking a few caring people to help people diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities to promote: Life Skills Development | Community Integration | Independence What exactly does that mean? Life Skills: teach meal prep, handling money, etc. Community Integration: group activities that promote socialization, transport people to and from their community activities and residence. Independence: Help each person be better each day and proud of all they accomplish! All you’ll need is: A clean, valid NYS Driver’s license High School diploma or equivalent Experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred, but will train. Experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion is a plus.
