As an employee, the first test attempt paid for by AES.AS A GSE MECHANICYou'll maintain and repair various ground support equipment (GSE), including tow tractors, belt loaders, pushback tractors, deicers, and more. You'll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems and ensure proper documentation, safety, and quality standards are met. Position is based at the Juneau International Airport (JNU).WHAT YOU WILL DODiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systemsPerform preventative maintenance and inspectionsUse Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to document all repairsFollow safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA)Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunitiesWHAT YOU WILL BRING1–4 years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systemsDiesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair backgroundStrong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiencyAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditionsMust provide own hand toolsStrong communication skillsMust be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver's licenseTeam player with the ability to work independentlyEnglish language proficiencyNICE TO HAVE CERTIFICATIONSMed/Heavy Truck or Light Truck Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.Universal HVAC certification preferred.You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to AES, we encourage you to apply!
