Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team!As a Quality Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and inspection processes across manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your ChallengeAssist Lead Quality Engineer and Director of Quality on the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)Coordinate, resolve, and review Corrective Action Reports, including root cause analysisDisposition of non-conforming materialResolve customer issues related to qualityProcess and Product MonitoringMonitor supplier performancePerform annual evaluations of suppliersTrain/mentor associates on quality awarenessPrepare and Review product certification documentation packagesReview customer contracts/specifications, design documents, purchase orders, and other documents to ensure that customer and regulatory requirements are metParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesSupport incoming audits, such as customer, regulatory, and registrar auditsConduct supplier audits, surveys, and source inspectionsUp to 25% travel (domestic and international)Other related duties as requiredWhat You BringMust be U.S. CitizenBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or other Technical FieldFour (4) years Quality experience in regulated industries such as Nuclear or Aerospace (equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered)Experience with temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, wire harness/cable assemblies, machined components, and/or printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)Experience with Quality industry standards (NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, ISO 19443, ASME Section III, ISO 80079-34, ISO9001:2015, AS9100D, ISO/IEC 17025, etc.)Able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systemsExperience with investigating quality issues in a methodical manner ultimately resulting in a report that identifies containment, root cause, and corrective and preventative actionsHave basic knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reportingExcellent technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills for reporting and briefing Customers and Senior LeadershipMust be able to work effectively in a team environmentMust be proficient with Microsoft Office SuitePhysical requirements may include lifting to 50 pounds.Ability to access manufacturing and warehouse environmentsAbility to sit, stand, and use computer systems for extended periods.PreferredLives the “continuous improvement” philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and conceptsCertification to ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is a plusNQA-1 Lead Auditor certificationExperience in product inspection (dimensional, visual, NDT examination, etc.)Have an understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-upAble to develop and implement quality systemsAble to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods to facilitate process analysis and improvementsWho We AreOur ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss Wright Round Rock is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
