9 Lives Rescue Volunteers to Process Adoption Applications.9 Lives Rescue finds homes for hundreds of cats a year. Once cats in need are identified, volunteers foster them in their homes.Adoption processers follow procedures to approve adoption applicants. They work virtually 1-3 days per week, 2-4 hours per day. Volunteers need to live within reasonable driving distance of Madison, WI so they can attend events and adoption fairs if desired. Volunteers from all of WI, Northern IL, and Eastern MN are needed. Volunteers at 9 Lives Rescue work in teams to perform every job, including fostering cats, caring for their medical needs, coordinating adoptions, and marketing on social media. 9 Lives Rescue is an all volunteer run nonprofit cat rescue based in Middleton, Wisconsin. Our area of focus is local cats in need. There are countless cats in Madison and Dane County that are unwanted where they are. We do our best to bring cats out of danger, bring them to full health, and then connect them with adopters.Our organization is foster based, which means that the cats we rescue are placed with individuals and families who volunteer to care for them until they are adopted to permanent homes. We don't have a building or central location. We believe cats are better off in a home environment whenever possible, and not confined in enclosures.
