This role works cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and sales to manage supplier relationships, mitigate shortages, and support on-time delivery.This position plays a key role in strengthening procurement processes and improving material availability in a growing aerospace manufacturing environment.BenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO) and Sick LeaveFull Medical, Dental and VisionLife Insurance401(k) with company match up to 4% after 90 days4/10 Work schedule - great for work-life balanceEssential ResponsibilitiesPurchasing and ProcurementExecute purchasing activities to support production requirements, including issuing and managing purchase orders.Ensure purchase orders include correct specifications, documentation, and required quality flow-downs.Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery commitments.Material Planning and Shortage ManagementMonitor material availability and proactively identify, communicate, and resolve shortages.Coordinate with production and planning teams to align supply with manufacturing schedules.Support inventory planning activities including reorder points, safety stock, and forecasting inputs.Supplier Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.Communicate with vendors regarding order status, lead times, delivery commitments, and issue resolution.Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness.Data Management and ERP SystemsMaintain accurate purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems including lead times, pricing, and supplier information.Support procurement reporting and material tracking to ensure data integrity.Compliance and DocumentationSupport compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements.Ensure purchasing documentation meets quality system requirements and record control standards.Continuous ImprovementSupport implementation of standardized procurement processes and procedures.Track and report supply chain metrics such as shortages, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, purchasing efficiency, and cost control.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of purchasing, material planning, and supply chain processes in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and bills of materialsStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills when working across internal teams and external suppliersBasic negotiation and supplier coordination skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and basic data analysisUnderstanding of regulated manufacturing environments such as AS9100 or ISO9001 is preferredEducation and ExperienceRequired3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environmentPreferredBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturingExperience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teamsAPICS / CPIM certification or progress toward certification is a plusKey Traits for SuccessTakes initiative and follows through on commitmentsComfortable working in a growing and evolving environmentStrong sense of ownership in day-to-day responsibilitiesCollaborative and team-oriented mindsetAble to balance structure with flexibilityCompensation & ScheduleHourly Pay Range: $27.00 – $36.00 per hour depending on experienceSchedule: 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts)Work-Life Balance: Enjoy three-day weekends every weekCompensation will be determined based on experience, technical capability, and supply chain knowledge.Additional InformationAny combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required background to perform the responsibilities of this role may be considered.Innovative Composite Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must provide proof of U.S. Person status.ICE maintains a drug- and tobacco-free workplace.J-18808-Ljbffr
