This role is critical to advancing our production capabilities through image-based analysis and automation system integration.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deploy image analysis solutions to support greenhouse production workflowsApply classical computer vision and deep learning techniques to extract meaningful data from imagesIntegrate imaging systems with automation and control systems (e.g., sensors, actuators, machine interfaces)Design and maintain pipelines to transmit image data and derived insights across enterprise networksCollaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, infrastructure, and operationsRequired QualificationsBS or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (ABET-accredited preferred)4+ years of professional software development experienceStrong Python development skills, particularly for image processing and analysisExperience with computer vision and machine learning frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, PyTorch)Experience with Docker or other containerization technologiesFrontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React)Linux environment experienceExperience interfacing with I/O devices for automation or machine controlFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD pipelinesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a prototyping or R&D environmentExposure to industrial automation systems or equipmentHands-on experience with deep learning/CNN-based image modelsNetworking and firewall configuration experience
