Our clients are growth-stage companies backed by private equity sponsors who rely on us as an embedded, strategic partner across the deal lifecycle and beyond.We are building an AI-first operational culture and are looking for someone who can lead that transformation from the inside out—starting with our own processes, then extending that expertise to our clients.The OpportunityThis is a dual-phase role designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of business operations and AI-powered automation. In Year 1, you will embed within Exbo Group to audit, redesign, and automate internal workflows across every function of the firm. In Year 2 and beyond, you will transition to our Finance Transformation practice, where you will lead AI-enablement engagements for our portfolio of growth-stage companies.Phase 1: Internal AI Automation (Year 1)During your first year, you will serve as Exbo Group’s internal automation architect. You will conduct a comprehensive process audit across all departments, identify high-impact automation opportunities, and build, test, and deploy AI-driven workflows using modern no-code and low-code automation platforms.Key responsibilities include:Conduct a full process audit across engagement management, client delivery, business development, finance, and operations to map current workflows and identify automation candidatesPrioritize automation opportunities using an impact-vs-effort framework, focusing on time savings, error reduction, and scalabilityDesign, build, and deploy automated workflows using Gumloop, n8n, Make (Integromat), Zapier, and complementary AI toolsIntegrate AI capabilities (LLMs, document parsing, data extraction) into business processes including client onboarding, QoE workpaper preparation, report generation, and CRM managementBuild AI agents and multi-step automations that connect across the firm’s tech stack (HubSpot, Google Workspace, Slack, QuickBooks, SharePoint)Create internal documentation, training materials, and playbooks so the team can maintain and extend automations independentlyEstablish monitoring, error-handling, and governance protocols for all production automationsTrack and report ROI metrics including hours saved, error rates reduced, and process cycle times improvedPhase 2: Client-Facing AI Practice Development (Year 2+)After proving the model internally, you will join Exbo Group’s Finance Transformation team to lead our AI practice and help growth-stage companies transform into AI-enabled firms.Key responsibilities include:Lead AI readiness assessments for PE-backed portfolio companies, evaluating their operational maturity and automation potentialDesign and deliver AI transformation roadmaps for clients across finance, accounting, operations, and reporting functionsImplement AI-powered workflows at client organizations, adapting the playbook developed during your internal phaseAdvise portfolio company CFOs and operators on AI tool selection, data infrastructure, and change managementDevelop reusable frameworks, templates, and methodologies that scale our AI advisory offering across multiple engagementsSupport business development by contributing to proposals, case studies, and thought leadership contentStay current with the rapidly evolving AI automation landscape and continuously evaluate emerging tools and platformsRequired Qualifications3-8 years of professional experience in business process automation, operations consulting, AI implementation, or a related fieldDemonstrated proficiency with at least two of the following automation platforms: Gumloop, n8n, Make (Integromat), Zapier, or Power AutomateHands-on experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) into business workflowsStrong understanding of APIs, webhooks, data parsing (JSON, XML, CSV), and system integration conceptsExperience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and standard business productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365)Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into automated workflow designsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to finance and operations stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience working in financial services, accounting, private equity, or management consultingFamiliarity with financial processes such as Quality of Earnings, month-end close, budgeting and forecasting, or financial reportingExperience with AI agent frameworks, RAG architectures, or multi-agent orchestrationProficiency in Python or JavaScript for custom automation scripting and API integrationsExperience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) as a complement to AI-native automation platformsTrack record of measuring and reporting automation ROI with quantifiable business outcomesExperience conducting process audits or Lean/Six Sigma process improvement initiativesKnowledge of data privacy, SOC 2, and compliance considerations for AI deployments in financial servicesTechnical ToolkitThe ideal candidate will bring familiarity with a range of tools across the AI automation ecosystem.
