We are more than just a business we are part of the community, and we act like it.About The RoleBest Ford is seeking an elite Service Manager / Director to lead one of the most significant Ford service operations in the region. This is not a typical service manager role. You will oversee a 50-bay facility encompassing both our full retail service department and our Ford Pro Elite Certified Commercial Service Center a designation reserved for the highest-performing Ford dealerships in the country, built specifically to serve fleet operators, business owners, and commercial vehicle customers.This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership position that demands an operator who is equally strong on the retail customer experience side and the commercial fleet service side. You will be responsible for the full P&L of a large, multi-faceted service operation, leading a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff while driving CSI, efficiency, and profitability across both business lines.If you have run a large-volume Ford store, understand the Ford Pro commercial ecosystem, and know how to build a culture of accountability and excellence in the service drive this is the opportunity you have been working toward.ResponsibilitiesLead all operations of a 50-bay service facility including retail service, warranty, and Ford Pro Elite commercial serviceDrive department profitability through effective labor rate management, service menu pricing, upsell strategy, and expense controlOversee Ford Pro Elite commercial service operations including fleet account management, uptime commitments, and commercial customer relationshipsRecruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of service advisors, technicians, porters, and BDC supportMonitor and improve Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores, ensuring every customer interaction reflects the Best Ford standardMaintain full compliance with Ford Motor Company warranty policies, repair procedures, and manufacturer certification requirementsManage shop capacity, technician scheduling, and dispatch workflow to maximize bay utilization and minimize customer wait timesOversee service department financials including labor gross, parts gross, cost controls, and monthly performance reporting to ownershipCollaborate with sales, parts, and BDC departments to ensure seamless operations across the dealershipMaintain a safe, clean, and professionally run service environment in compliance with all OSHA and dealership standardsQualifications5+ years of automotive service management experience required; Ford dealership experience strongly preferredProven track record managing a high-volume service department with 20+ technicians and strong CSI performanceExperience with Ford Pro, commercial fleet service, or uptime-focused service operations a significant plusFord factory certification preferred; willingness to complete Ford Pro Elite certification training requiredDeep knowledge of warranty administration, Ford Motor Company policies, and manufacturer compliance requirementsStrong financial acumen with the ability to read, manage, and grow a service department P&LExceptional leadership and team development skills with a track record of building accountable, high-performance culturesProficiency with dealership DMS systems; experience with Dealertrack and MyKaarma preferredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or Ford-specific management certifications a strong plusWhy Join Best FordThis is one of the most compelling service leadership opportunities in New England.
