ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionSemmes Murphey Clinic Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is hiring. We are looking for a registered nurse to circulate in our operating rooms. You will assist physicians during surgical procedures, in addition to supervising and directing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.We are a single specialty ASC with NO call, NO holidays and NO regularly scheduled weekends.We Are Looking For Someone WhoPrepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies; assists with inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the admission areaAids physician during surgical procedures; confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practiceEffectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and operating room activities; considers staff abilities when delegating activities; maintains order and cleanliness of admission areaResponds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol; maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient; uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate careDevelops a plan of care for the patient based on assessment data and implements admission care (e.g., evaluates chart, administers medication) and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques RequirementsMinimum:Nursing degree from an accredited schoolOne (1) year experience as a circulating nurse in NeurosurgeryPreferredExperience working in an ambulatory surgery centerCertifications & CredentialsRN license (active) in appropriate statesCPR certifiedACLS certification Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled#SMC
