Sourdough Bread Baker (Overnight) The Bread Chic is seeking an experienced baker to join our overnight production team. We specialize in artisan sourdough bread, pastries, and scratch-made baked goods crafted with high-quality ingredients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and takes pride in producing exceptional baked goods. Schedule Full-time Overnight shift Current start time: 12:00 AM Transitioning to 2:00 AM in the near future Compensation Starting at $20/hour for the right candidate plus tips Opportunities for advancement as the company continues to grow Responsibilities Bake all sourdough bread for retail, wholesale, and farmers markets Bake muffins, scones, pies, cookies, and other bakery products Bake cinnamon bread, pretzels, and specialty items Manage oven schedules and production timing Coordinate daily production with other bakers, front-of-house teams, and market staff Maintain quality standards and consistency across all products Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Assist with production planning and daily bakery operations Qualifications Professional baking experience preferred Artisan bread and sourdough experience strongly preferred Sourdough experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right baker with strong production experience and a great attitude Ability to work independently and stay organized Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Reliable transportation and dependable attendance A valid Food Handler Safety Card is required as a condition of employment.
