Medical Biller and CoderWe have two positions available: a Medical Biller with experience required, and a Medical Coder with experience required. Both positions are NOT remote. Wages DOE: $22-$26Medical Biller:We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Coder with at least 1 year of on-the-job experience. Monday through Friday, this is an in-house position, NOT REMOTE.Summary:The position requires evaluating a wide range of patient medical records to ensure accurate coding and proper billing in compliance with medical and legal standards. The candidate will maintain a thorough knowledge of relevant guidelines, practices, and standards, as well as a deep understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities include applying payments to accounts efficiently and accurately, following departmental and payer policies and procedures. The role also requires proactive assistance to patients and families with account inquiries, while providing a friendly and knowledgeable experience for all patients.Review orthopedic medical records, operative reports, and provider documentation for completeness and accuracyAssign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCSAccurately code services such as fracture care, joint injections, casting/splinting, and surgical proceduresEnsure proper use of modifiers (e.g., -25, -50, -59, RT/LT) specific to orthopedic billingVerify documentation supports medical necessity and coding selections; query providers when clarification is neededMaintain compliance with payer guidelines, including Medicare, commercial plans, and VA requirements when applicableStay current with coding updates, orthopedic guidelines, and regulatory changesFollow up on denied claims.Certified Medical Coder:Looking for an experienced medical biller. This position requires at least 1 year of experience in a medical billing setting or experience assisting with a medical billing department. This is not a training position.Calculating and collecting payments for medical procedures and services, including updating patient data, developing payment plans, and preparing invoices.
