Job Description
This individual will be responsible for repair on a variety of construction related equipment.
This role is Day time shift typically working 6:30AM - 3:30PM, with occasional overtime as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a shop environment.
Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.
Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems.
Write and complete service reports.
Participate in company training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Two year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, small engine repair, or similar preferred
5+ years' experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.
Operation of a variety of types of equipment
Diagnosis and repair of diesel engines
Maintenance, diagnosis and repair of equipment electrical systems
Hydraulic troubleshooting
Use of hydraulic and electrical schematics
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.
Crane knowledge a plus
Ability to properly document work completed
Desire to take on new challenges
