Senior Database Developer

Overview In this role, you will design and optimize enterprise data solutions that support business decisions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable database architectures and ensure data integrity, security, and performance. You’ll lead data modeling and governance efforts while mentoring teammates in best practices. The position emphasizes delivering auditable, high-performance SQL Server solutions within an Agile environment, contributing to regulatory compliance and data quality at scale. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze existing database architecture and data models to simplify and optimize complex logicTranslate stakeholder requirements into scalable database designs and objectsDesign new data models, schemas, and database objects aligned with performance goalsDevelop and optimize tables, stored procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity and auditabilityImplement data governance controls and ensure regulatory and internal security complianceSupport iterative development by refining database structures as requirements evolveProvide mentorship on data modeling best practices to team membersCollaborate cross-functionally in an Agile setup using Jira and Confluence Key requirementsBachelor in Computer Science or related field8-10 years of SQL Server development/DBA experience in large-scale environments (financial services preferred)Proven track record of delivering high-performance, auditable database solutionsExperience implementing data controls, security, and regulatory standardsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skillsHighly organized with ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced settingsExperience in Agile teams with cross-functional collaborationExcellent communicationStakeholder managementCollaborative mindsetSQL Server development and DBA experienceData modeling and schema designStored procedures (SPROCs) optimization
