In other words Kids who will win at life!What is KidStrong Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnYIkZoi5Z8KidStrong Camp Website: https://meridian.kidstrong.com/campsPERKSJoining a workplace where you can be part of a fun, supportive, energetic and professional team that loves what they do!We hire leadership minded individuals - Those who take ownership and accountability of their own effort and are accountable to giving their best each and every day.Develop foundational, trust-based relationships with kids and families - Coaching and mentoring children to make an impact on their lives.Extensive training pre-camp and on-going development to prepare coaches for success.Flexible scheduling week to week.SCHEDULEMonday through Friday 8:45am - 3:00pmJune 1st - August 7thCamp Team will consist of up to 6 individualsScheduling will respect planned vacationsROLEWe are looking for self-motivated coaches who lead with a growth mindset.Ideal candidates have an athletic or coaching background and have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old.KidStrong Coaches focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development in active, fun, positive, and supportive environment.Camp Programming (curriculum) includes active games, building foundational strength and movement, building confidence, teamwork, and trust in those around them.COACH RESPONSIBILITIESCoach camp sizes of up to 24 kids.Complete both online and in-person training requirements.Must be able to ensure camp is timely and adheres to the expected structure.Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of classMaintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading classDemonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises and activities.Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift.Effectively use the KS Coachs App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)Communicate professionally with co-workers in Sling, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centersComplete trainings through KidStrong University as required by the HQ Training and Certification teamMust be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.There are no scheduled breaks and coaches will engage with kids during both active and "down" time (snack, lunch, post-lunch activity centers).Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Manager.JOB QUALIFICATIONSPassion for working with children and a commitment to the potential and growth of EVERY child is non-negotiable!Must be comfortable with public speaking and "leading from the front" - Holding a strong command presence.Prior experience coaching kids with children ages 4 - 11.Comfortability in engaging parents and families prior to and after camp.Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanicsCPR/1st Aid certified (Can obtain within 30 days of hire)Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skillsSelf-starter who just gets a job doneIf you enjoy the spotlight, this position was meant for you!
