Substance Abuse Primary Therapist

Enlightened Recovery is seeking a creative and engaging Full-time Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the recovery journey of adults in need. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate group therapy sessions at the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care and Outpatient (OP) level of care. Manage a small caseload, including conducting individual counseling sessions to support personalized treatment goals. Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and clinical team. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to ensure comprehensive care. Complete all documentation in accordance with state regulations and Joint Commission standards. Qualifications: Required: Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, CAAC, or CAADC) recognized by the New Jersey Certification Board. Preferred: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a health-related field from an accredited institution. Preferred: Licensed professionals (LCADC, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC, or LCSW). A minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical dependency setting (preferred). CPR certification (employer-provided if not already certified).
