Human Resource Generalist
Position exists to coordinate and implement human resources policies, programs and systems to support the successful attainment of business objectives. This includes working with managers and shop floor supervisors with key areas of responsibility including staffing, employee relations, labor relations, compensation and benefits administration, employee development, safety and health/wellness and equal opportunity affairs. The most important impact of this position is to help the organization reach it’s goals by acting as the bridge for communication between employees and management.
Lead full cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried workforce
Partner with manufacturing supervision to maximize labor relations for employees covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement as well as administering the terms of the agreement though the grievance process.
Identify training and education needs and initiate cost effective delivery systems to meet those needs
Coach and influence line management on company policy work rules, as well as applicable federal and state regulations to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resource services
Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Serve as a resource to employees related to management, employment, benefit and performance
Contributes to a cooperative, team environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related activities as needed and/or requested
Experience
Required
Excellent communication skills
3+ years experience in Human Resources (specifically full-cycle/high volume recruiting & employee/labor relations)
Preferred
Computer skills (Microsoft Office Products & HRIS system experience - Ultipro preferred)
Labor relations experience
Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Human Resources or related field
