Facilities Technician
The Facilities Technician assists in the proper upkeep and maintenance of the company building and systems by performing operational, preventative, and emergency maintenance to maintain safe, functional, and attractive facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities & Results:
Perform general maintenance such as basic plumbing, electrical, painting, caulking, tile, concrete, carpentry, welding, installation, and fabrication.
Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.
Perform repair and/or preventative maintenance on overhead/bi-fold doors, gates, water softener, safety showers, fans, indoor/outdoor lighting, water heaters, ice machines, appliances, and gates and fence lines to ensure the property is safe and secure.
Responsible for vendor evaluations, quotes, contracts, etc. for small projects and repairs; supports other department members on large projects.
Respond to fire alarms, performing evacuation sweeps, fire assessments, etc.
Perform as an integral member of storm, emergency, and disaster recovery teams.
Ensure cleanliness is maintained by responding to general clean up requests.
Perform grounds work such as yard/parking lot clean up, trimming, edging, weeding, planting, and landscape improvement projects to maintain neat and attractive landscaping.
Perform expedient snow removal on drives, lots, sidewalks, and entrances to establish the safest possible conditions.
Responsible for landscaping & parking lot maintenance/repair contract work and projects.
Required Education and Expertise:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current and valid class D driver’s license
Valid health card
Possess a basic mechanical aptitude, with the ability to perform work in one or more of the following areas: carpentry, fabrication, plumbing, electrical, mechanical
Possess ability to learn basic understanding of maintaining various types of building systems.
Ability to learn and navigate fire system, HVAC, and Building Automation.
Ability to develop, implement, and follow maintenance procedures.
Ability to operate equipment such as a power broom, skid steer, and front-end loader.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Basic working knowledge of Windows software such as Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,882.48 - $52,847.71 per year
