As the Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our shop.Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel, including automotive technicians and support staffDevelop and implement work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor productivityEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environmentConduct regular quality control checks and implement improvements to processes and proceduresManage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain equipmentTrain and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as neededTroubleshoot complex technical issues and assist in resolving customer concernsCollaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and meet production goalsPrepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentationStay updated on industry trends and implement new technologies or methods as appropriateQualifications3+ years of experience in a similar role in the automotive retail and service industry (CDJR Preferred)Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectivelyStrong mechanical and technical knowledge relevant to the shop's operationsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesThorough understanding of safety protocols and quality control proceduresProficiency in inventory management and scheduling techniquesStrong computer skills, including experience with maintenance management softwareHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferredRelevant trade certifications (e.g., ASE certifications for automotive shops) are a plusIn-depth knowledge of industry-specific equipment, processes, and regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple prioritiesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAdditional InformationBenefits for full time employees include but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, EAP, 401(k), PTO, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Employee Discounts
